how to loop the ball for a backhand or fore hand push; i really try to lift the ball but my opponent just smashes it.

Hi Aankith,

The stroke is more vertical but you need to generate a lot of spin to get the ball down onto the table.

If the ball is going too high then you need to turn your bat more forward and brush the ball faster to give the ball enough lift.  This is a more difficult stroke but is possible if you train it.  The key is speed of your arm.
