Hi Debarshi,

An Off+ blade can be difficult to use.  I find a lot of players select a blade that is too fast.

To minimise this, you will need to do a lot of training. Firstly get used to the speed of the blade by doing a lot of consistency work.  Aim to hit 100 or 200 balls in a row with the forehand or backhand strokes.  If you can do this then you will be starting to get the feel for the speed of the blade.

When you start to do all of your strokes, start slowly with control and then you can speed up later once you have the feel. If you persevere you will get the feel and start to be able to control the blade.

i think choosing an off+ blade is good cuz if its too fast

balance it out with the slowest rubber you can find

if you notice that your improving your control

just replace your rubber :)

Hi Amekun,

I would go the other way and use a slower blade and then use a faster rubber as you get better.  The slower blade will give you the control and feel for the ball.  This is what most better players do.

i dont think it actually matters that much, it is just what you like. I like a off- with speedy rubbers. Which blade was the off plus blade you bought?
