What defines a rubber's control rating? Is it density/hardness?

Hi Christopher,

The control of the rubber comes from both the sponge and the top sheet of rubber.

It will depends on the speed that the ball comes out of the rubber to a great extent. It is difficult to get a rubber with more speed and more control.
