hello there,

I just bought my first custom made bat-friendship super fx and DHS 6512 on a stiga carbon v1 WRB. I glued the rubber using rubber cement(dont worry, i play just for fun and hobby) because i never tried speedglued rubber before and i wanna experience it. I sticked it up to the blade while some part of rubber are wet and the other parts are dry.

the problem now is after about 3 hrs, i tried it and instead of having a lively bounce, the ball just bounces about 3 times when dropped on the rubber(both). my blade should be fast and hard, coz its a carbon blade and the rubbers are also fast. have i glued the rubber wrong? should i reglue it? is my new bat damaged? im really worried now... please help

can u give me ways on how to speedglue my rubbers? thanks.

Hi Gian,

When using this glue you need to wait till it is quite dry before yo stick them. If you just wait it will eventually dry.  It may take quite a few hours.

In the future just let the glue dry first. You haven't damaged your bat so don't worry.

hey sir alois

as you have said, the glue dried and my rubber became nice and good again.

i put plastic sheets on my rubbers for protection, but when i removed it, my rubber became sluggish again. does plastic sheet coverings usually do this to rubbers? thanx in advance

No the plastic sheets should not have any effect like this. They are designed to help preserve the rubber.
