Suggestions for a new bat

Equipment

Hi,

For about the past 7-8 months I've been playing table tennis with my friends and for my school team, I've improved quite a bit and am considering buying a new bat. I currently own a "Double Fish Attack Style 8484" which is not the greatest according to my friends. The rubber is slippery and there is only a small amount of spin. What I wanted to know is if I should buy a new bat and if so, could you suggest one for me, (beginner/intermediate pre-made bat preferably). I like having spin and play at a mid- fast speed. I am currently looking at a butterfly yuki 2, I'm not sure if this is a decent bat and wanted to ask you if I should buy it, if not could you suggest some decent bats under $50 or on $50.

Thanks

Hi Aidan,

The Yuki racket is OK as a starter bat.  We also have the PingSkills Rook as an option.

You may also be ready to move onto a custom bat if that is something that you are interested in.  The PingSkills Touch with Mark V would be our option there as well.

What about the Timo Boll CF 2000?

That would be OK as a starter bat.

So out of the two, which one is the better one?

Apologies for answering instead of Alois, but I thik I know the answer to this one. As far as I know, at least where I live, the yuki is discontinued and Timo Boll 2000 is its replacement.

Hi,

I am also interested in buying a butterfly timo boll CF 2000. I am a beginner and I am looking for a more attacking bat. I would also like to know if the Pan asia rubbers in this premade bat ll be replaceable later after their life with good ones.. a good custom bat will cost me twice the price of this racket  so that is why I looked this up. As this is a carbon fibre blade, I would like to use it again after the life of this rubber ends and maybe put in some good mark V rubbers. I want to know if i would be able to do all this in this bat

Hi Asif,

Yes you should be able to replace the rubbers with Mark V after a while.  It is a good option.
