I have been wondering if tacky rubbers will affect fast ball return and top spin.
It's said that tacky rubber make ball spinny when play slow, but would it affect spin in fast?
I can't make a decision as tacky rubber seems to have higher throw angle, which requires skills to bring the ball low.
I have been noticing DHS, TinArc 3 and GoldArc3 which seems not bad.
I would like to change the rubber on my beginner bat( Donic Walder 800) to this two. Wondering is it worth it?
Hi,
I would give the new rubber a try if the rubber on your bat is worn.
The tacky rubber depending on its quality, will also allow you to play faster shots as well as slow spin. It will just take a little getting used to.
Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
