Drop Shot off a Chop
As with the drop shot off a lob, it is important to Keep the ball as close to the net as possible. This makes it a greater distance for you opponent to cover to reach the ball. You can then play a strong follow up stroke and make it very difficult for your opponent.
Main Tips for Playing the Drop Shot off a Chop
- Play the drop shot off a short ball
- Keep the ball as close to the net as possible
- Keep your hand relaxed
- Open your bat to counter any backspin
- Place the ball to your opponents weaker side
