PingPod #9 – The Spin Wheel & Ask the Coach Answers

Table Tennis Thoughts

In this episode of the PingPod, Alois and I discuss the spin wheel which was used in our Receiving Secrets course and answer 2 ask the coach questions. The first was about the angle of your elbow for the forehand topspin and the second was about whether you should push on through your training sessions when you aren't feeling 100%.

To Block Topspin what is the position?

Hi Miguel,

Take a look at our lesson on the Backhand Block.  I think this will help you.

Hola Miguel,

Echa un vistazo a nuestra lección sobre el revés del bloque. Creo que esto le ayudará.

Hi Kathy yes, its many's the time a frustrated coach has asked me "do I not understand simple physics!" Jeff, your right Kenny Rogers is awesome! I was thinking more of titles like "Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life"!

Hi Margie, yes I'm still having a problem counter attacking the spin. My physics and spatial skills are weaker, however, today after procrastinating for weeks, I went into my toilet tank, was able to finally dsconnect  the plastic part with the chain attached,  replace the round rubber ring at the bottom which was worn,  reconnect the part, tube and chain!!  Success,  no more noise and leak, now I can finally sleep.   couple of maintenance guys did not solve my problem.  Scared trying to do it myself,  hopefully now I can try to figure out how to  brush off the side spin!!  ha ha
