What is PingSkills?

PingSkills is an instructional website designed to teach people how to play table tennis with the correct strokes and techniques.

Where do I start?

If you've only ever played at home then we recommend starting with our basic strokes.

If you’re looking for more advanced table tennis content, take a look at the tutorial videos page and learn from some of our more intermediate or advanced modules! The modules are arranged in chronological order to guide your progression most effectively.

How do I get better?

Practice is the key but I'll link to a blog and some modules that will help you soon.

What bat should I get?

We get it, there are so many pre-made bats, blades, and rubbers available for sale and it’s quite confusing to figure out which one is right for you. Here’s a video which might help you out.

Why are you charging money for table tennis tutorials?

Good question! Typically most table tennis content on YouTube is free to view, and resources such as forums are available to everyone.

Here at PingSkills, we also offer heaps of free content, and this will always be the case. However, given the time and money we have poured into this project, we see the premium membership as a way for people to support the growth of PingSkills and receive some cool premium membership benefits!

The cost of a premium membership is very reasonable, equivalent to approximately 4 sheets of table tennis rubber per year!

What do I get with a premium membership?

By becoming a premium member, you will have access to every video tutorial that we ever make. You will have priority when it comes to asking table tennis questions, and be able to receive video analysis by sending us through a short video of you in action.

We’re also working on more incentives and benefits for our premium members in the future.

Can you offer me private lessons on skype or hangouts?

Unfortunately, we don’t have the time or spare capacity to deliver one-on-one lessons. The content in the tutorials section should answer any questions you have about table tennis techniques and progression. If not, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have - we may end up adding your suggestion to the tutorials page!
