Hi coach hope you are feeling great. Anyways I’m recently playing as a new 1 division in our local club league here in Shropshire. I’ll be honest that i’m not the strongest player in our team but can contribute a points when needed. My question is i played last time a player who’s playing a close table game with combined ball blocking and attacking. I tried to give a spinny loop/top spin but he just keep attacking it both left or right ways away from me. What is the best tactical game play should i do whenever i play this player? Its so frustrating when i’m try to get 3ball attack but he will just blocked it back and by the time i topspin it again he was just waiting for his attacking opportunity. Hope you could help me & gives some advice. Thank you & more power to pingskills.

Hi Ian,
Playing against a blocker can be frustrating. The key is to use variation of spin, placement and especially speed. If you always play fast they will utilise your speed to get you out of place.

We have a tutorial on this in our Playing Against section on Playing A Blocker.
