Adjusting to new stronger blade

Hi there coach, I recently changed my wood to XIOM Strativarius. I was using STIGA tube-carbo before I switched. My coach told me that now is the time to change, so I followed what he said. Now I am facing a typical problem most players face. the ADJUSTMENT period. I can't bring out my usual game with my new wood, but I am not saying its weak, in fact it is very strong. The only problem is I can't feel the blade, or in other words, I can't feel playing table tennis. Is this normal and would be resolved later by continuous use, or I should do something about it? thanks in advance coach

Hi Wayne,

Give yourself time to adjust to the faster blade.  It does take a while usually.  If you try to change again you will not be settled and lose a lot of time of improvement.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
