Hi alois and jeff

I recently played a state match.. I won the first round thanks to you! and the second round against a top seed and lost to him in straight sets 8-11 , 7-ll, 10-12 I had a mistake. It is on looping the third ball. that player returned my serve right into my forehand so i looped the but the ball didnt land on the table it went out so i closed my racket and looped the ball into the net..... any solution for this problem..??? THIS IS ONLY MY SECOND STATE MATCH.

thx in advance.

Hi Rahul,

Well done on your progress.

The solution may be to generate more spin on the ball so that you have a greater margin for error. The spin will bring the ball down quickly so you can hit the ball higher over the net.

To get better spin, you need a brushing contact on the ball.  You also need to experiment with different angles.  This is where your training is so important.  This is when you can experiment and learn more.
