Hi guys,

Just a quick question, I would like to know how to apply more spin to my serves. I have the basic pendulum serve grip and technique but lack spin. Do you have any tips or drills which I could use to improve my service and get the ball spinning more?

Kind regards

Gareth

Hi Gareth,

Go away from the table a fe wtimes and just work on the contact.  Being at the table is often limiting.

Try to get as fast a contact as you can.  Even when you are back at the table, don't worry at first about getting the ball to hit the other side, focus on the speed of contact. You still need to maintain the correct contact while doing this.

Let me know if you have some success.
