Hello there,

Can you explain to me how you smash a ball back effectively when someone slices it to you?

Thanks.

Hi Mark,

If the ball has a lot of backspin it is better to try to topspin the ball rather than smash it.  If you try to smash it you will have a very low margin for error and it is likely to go into the net or off the end of the table.

The better aggressive stroke to play is a Forehand Topspin Off Backspin.
