Hi Alois, im having a problem attacking low balls, the problem is that when i want to play a shot fast, the ball comes long and goes around net height and i am able to attack it, but sometimes it goes lower than the net, im using the topspin technique but i cant do it fast or else it will go into the net, so is it ok to attack more consistently and spinny on that shot? also my coach taught me the topspin technique on the fh side with a closed angle but its still an extension of the counterhit.

Thanks!

Hi Pasquale,

It is OK to play some balls slower especially off the lower balls.  It is better to get the ball back on the table rather than missing half of those shots.

Yes I think you should practice playing it slowly.  It is a good tool to have.
