how to play with short balls and medium balls...if i use full loop it goes out of the table and if i push the ball .,i am giving a opportunity to my opponent to hit it ...???..please help to deal effectively with short balls...can we hit topspin on short balls.

Hi Rakesh,

The short balls can be attacked by using the Forehand Flick or Flip stroke.

The medium balls can be the most difficult.  It is a matter of judging whether the ball is going to only bounce once on the table.  If it is wait for it to come long and then utilise the Forehand Topspin Off Backspin stroke.

This judgement can take a lot of practice but it is worth practicing this as it is a big part of improving your game.
