Hi!

Modern defenders at high level do backhand chop mostly. Why?

Hi,

Most have the slower rubber on the backhand side, a long pimple or thinner sponge.

This allows them to control the faster balls more easily and then they use their forehand to make the attack when they get the opportunity.
