hello sir. i wanted to mention and ask u a very important thing about the basic BH counterhit as this is the training video of pingskills link given below

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvECHF60cu8

in this link i noticed that sir jeff has kept his elbow inclined downwards in the starting position and then finishes lifting it.

I have also noticed that there are other methods where you hold your elbow up to play the backhand.

Why is this difference in coaching and plz sir do tell us which technique to adopt and what inclination of the elbow should be kept while counterhitting?

Hi Hassaan,

There are aways differences in ways of playing strokes.  If you are more backhand oriented then having the elbow up higher can work for you.

To learn the stroke initially I think the way that Jeff shows you is the best way to learn as it places less strain on the arm and shoulder and will feel more natural.  Keep your shoulder and arm relaxed for best results.
