Hi Pingskills

Firstly great site

1. When performing backhand loop against block im struggling for power and length im trying to get more spin and speed so the ball hits of the bat and return with decent length its really frustrating.

what can i do?

Hi Aaron,

Sometimes it isn't a matter of focusing on technique but more on the outcome.  If you are wanting the ball to go to a certain position, put a target on the table where you want the ball to land.  In this case you would put it close to the end line.

Then watch the ball for speed.  Then see how fast you can hit it while maintaining correct stroke technique.

Technically it is about the speed of your racket coming through.  The faster your bat hits the ball the faster the ball will go.

Thanks for your kind words about the site.

Why is it i can generate so much topspin  off a push but am unable to generate a lot of topspin  against a block(flat slow ball)

Hi Ker,

Try brushing over the top of the ball more.

Also against a backspin ball the ball is already rotating in that direction so when you topspin it the ball can rotate faster in that same direction, therefore giving it more topspin.
