hey.. i m a left handed player n i hav a huge backhand problem i.e i cant play backhand even a little bit instead i move to the right hand corner of the table n hit forehand shots if my opponents serve or hit shots at my backhand n this is the key factor to my defeat so please help me n teach me proper backhand.. thank you
Hi Amir,
Start by learning the basic backhand counterhit. Hit this many times till you feel confident. Take a look at how you have your body wen you are hitting these backhands. You need to be quite straight to the table. You will probably find that in a game at the moment you turn a lot to favour your forehand side. Try to resist this and allow yourself to hit some backhands.
Learn from the Lessons on the Backhand Counterhit and Backhand Topspin.
Often the way we stand will determine whether we like backhands or forehands.
If you are having a problem correcting an error in your technique, then try this great tip. Think about learning a new stroke rather than correcting an old bad habit. The change in thinking will allow you to learn the new stroke without worrying about your old bad habits.
