Strokes
Hello, i have now watched and enjoyed all of your videos. You guys are great. I have learned alot in your lessons but i have a problem. i have watched the backhand videos many many times and still i cannot seem to get my backhand to work in a real match. Do you have any advice?
Hi Patrick,
Keep practising.
You will go through the phase of being able to do it in practice but not in games. Try doing them in some less important games and see if they work. You need to move one step at a time. Eventually you will be able to do the backhand in a tight game situation, but you need to keep working on it.
During practice put yourself under some pressure by seeing if you can hit a number backhands in a row at a reasonable pace. If you achieve this number easily set yourself another target.
A snake shot is a type of stroke which is specifically used against a drop shot. It is usually loaded with a heavy spin so that the opponent finds it difficult to counter. The type of spin can be backspin, sidespin or topspin depending on your choice. You need to make a movement after hitting the ball to confuse your opponent.
