Hi Emil,

If you are talking about a serve, you start with your bat at your left shoulder and swing it through in an arc till it finishes at shoulder level on your right side.

You need to brush the ball on contact, brushing it in a sideways motion.

If you get a chance purchase Serving Secrets Revealed.  This will be able to show you in detail the movements and also explain the concepts of getting spin on the ball.

To carry on with Alois said, so that when you finish the swing for the backhand sidespin serve, your bat is pointing towards the right net post.

I've always wanted to ask this as this has been bothering me for some time but, how do I swing the bat cleanly. Whenever I serve this way, I feel as if though my overall swing motion comes out shaky whenever I try loosening my wrist for better spin. Is this really happening or is it just an illusion? What am I doing wrong?

Have a set start and finish position that you are aiming for.  this will give you something definite to aim for and will stop the bat shaking.
