Strokes
When playing table tennis and the ball landed near the table away from the net at a very low height, should i angle my paddle up or down to topspin the ball?
Hi Khang,
You can have your bat almost vertical and brush up the back of the ball to lift it over the net.
Once you've mastered the start and finish position of the forehand topspin, you can start to focus on finer details. In this video we talk about the position of your legs, weight transfer, varying the finish position, incorporating footwork, the use of your wrist, and the angle of your bat for the stroke.

What if the ball landed on the end of the line and do not have sufficient space and time to move back and hit the ball at the highest point of the ball?
Use a short sharp action mainly with your wrist and have a very vertical action. You can just use your wrist because you don't have the time to step back.
If this is happening regularly though you may need to think about moving a little further back in your recovery after you serve. It is easier to move forward than bas into the stroke.
