I am really struggling with a topspin backhand, do you have any tips?

Hi Laura,

Like with all our coaching we try to keep it simple.  The key elements are the balanced leg position, the start position of your bat and the most important of all the finish position of your bat.

Take a look again at the lesson on the Backhand Topspin and focus on these things.

Then go out and practice the stroke slowly at first till you feel comfortable at a slow pace before moving on. You can even do it without the ball, so just swing in front of a mirror and see what the stroke looks like.
