Hi,

I am trying to work on my backspin server but while watching videos around I think that professional players are holding somehow differently their bat, like holding only with thumb and index finger.

Does that make a difference? Thanks.

Hi Thanassis,

The grip that they use is releasing the fingers from around the handle and making a fist with them behind the handle.  So then you are just basically holding the bat with finger and thumb. This allows you to use your wrist a bit more freely.
