Hi, Alois and Jeff. Here is my question. It is possible to hit the ball when our opponent do a fast topspin strokes and the ball really near our body? I don't want to hit myself to return the strokes. Any tips or suggestions to this question?

Thanks. Elvin

Hi Elvin,

If you stay very low with your legs then you will be able to move your body away from the ball even without moving your feet by swaying.  Ideally though, you can move to the side quickly to make better position and then play a proper stroke.

The most important thing is that the bat is moving in the correct direction.
