Hi Coach,

I bought a pre made Stiga Titanium bat a few years ago but up to this day I haven't been able to get the control that I want on it. I was thinking of changing the rubber but do not have a clue as what to replace it with. I only play company tournaments and have been using a DHS 5002 bat. I play an intermediate game.

I have see the Mark V but don't know much about it.

Thanks in advance,

Rich

Hi Richard,

What rubber does the bat have on it at the moment. If it is the standard rubber that you get the bat with then I wouldn't upgrade to Mark V as this will be faster.

I think you should concentrate on your technique with the Titanium bat.  Work at doing all your strokes slowly with correct technique.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
