Hi, my father's birthday is coming up and in my opinion he is a great table tennis player. But he has a bad bat so I was thinking about getting him a new blade and rubbers. The only problem is I don't know much about table tennis equipment so I decided to ask you. A little bit of info on my father is that he can do forehand loops,  push, average serves and normal returns. He is working on his backhand currently, so I would like to know what blade and rubbers should I get for him and price is not a problem. Also, I heard from my friends that China's rubber are the best and andro blades are good. Right now, my father has a double fish bat which is heavy and I think I should get him a lighter racket.

Hi John,

There are a thousand choice.  A lot of them will be good ones.

Go for a trusted brand.  The Chinese rubbers are good as are those that are manufactured in Europe and other countries.

Andro is a good brand, but there are also many other brands that have equally as good poducts.

The bat that we recommend for players initially is the William Henzell Bat with Mark V rubbers.  Take a look at this.  Go for a medium speed blade if he is still working on his backhand.

A rubber such as Mark V or Yasaka Pryde are also good, but as i said there are a thousand good choices here.
