Hi Usman,

One of the main things is variation of speed and spin to get them to make an error.  Often these types of players like the ball coming fast and consistently to them because they can use the pace to place the ball fast back to you.

When you get a very easy ball you can play it fast for a winner.

For our Premium members we have a lesson on Playing A Blocker which will also help.

Tactics Against a Good Short Pusher

Use a long push or a flick to open up the game against someone who is beating you at the short game. It might not be your favourite way to play but if you are losing the short game you need to mix things up. In the long run you certainly need to improve your own short game.
