Equipment
Hi guys,
me and my friends recently bought net and cheap pre-made paddles(4-5 USD) and we started to play on concrete tables in the park because is summer now in Europe....
Anyway, I was the worst because my first encounter with TT was 5 years ago(now i'm 28) and that lasted only for month and in last two months I become little better using tutorials on pingskills and playing more often...
Still there's no real consistency in play but I like to attack more often than not...
So, I decided to buy better paddle and after reading tons of posts on various forums went for custom setup from colestt.com(In shipping).
Setup is: Dawei Quattro Limba ALL+/OFF- blade
Dawei Inspirit Quattro UltraLight 1.8mm(both sides)
Q:Is this setup to fast for beginner(if you're familiar with manufacturer)?
Q:Differences between concrete tables and regular ones in play(spin, speed)?
Hi,
Congratulations on improving your Table Tennis. It is great to hear your enthusiasm for the sport.
I haven't used that particular bat so cannot help you out too much. Have any of our readers got any thoughts on this combination?
i also haven't played on any concrete tables but I would imagine that it wouldn't be that good for the ball. I also imagine that the bounce would actually be more consistent on a regular table. Also playing on concrete tables outdoor would expose the ball to the wind which could greatly affect the play.
Being able to play anywhere is great but for higher levels of play you would need to play indoors on regular tables.
Good luck with your Table Tennis and keep practicing as it sounds like you are making good progress.

Hello Alois and Jeff,
Alois, you know that I have been looking for a new bat. Anyway, I found this guy here in the U.S. that makes custom bats for a very reasonable price. I told him what I was looking for and he suggested this bat that is in this thread.
He suggested the, Dawei Quattro Limda blade, with Dawei Inspirit Quattro Ultralight 2.0 and Air Illumina Alpha Plus 1.8 rubber's. This setup will cost me around $45 bucks U.S.
Reading this thread, Jeff says that he hasn't used that blade/ blade, rubber combo before. But this thread is a few years old and I am wondering if you guys have anymore information on this blade/setup? If so I would like to hear what you have to say about it.
