Hi Nicolas,
Your position is determined a lot by where your opponent is serving from. If they are serving from a wide backhand position then you would move more towards your backhand side and vice versa.
Then think about if they are serving a lot of serves long and fast or short. If they are serving a lot of fast long serves you can position yourself slightly further away from the table.
