What type of wood is best for making a high speed blade?I am thinking of walnut but my father told me that it will be very heavy. What do you think. I want to make one
Hi Aasim,
I will put this out for other readers to give you some help.
Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.

Hello Aasim. Your father is right (like they usually are) Hard woods are also heavy. But in the case of table tennis bats they are also too hard. In other words, you don't need the racket to be a rocket. There are certain cedars hard enough and light enough to make a good TT bat. Are you planning to make a racket? I can give you some tips about the whole process.
