How should I interpret Blade Vibration?  Is this the feel of a racquet when it contacts the ball?  Is there a preference for more or less vibration, or, is this a matter of personal preference?  What type of player would prefer more or less vibration?  Does the amount of blade "vibration" contribute to the amount of control that a racquet can produce?  I would appreciate your comments.  Thank you.

Hi Randy,

You are right, it is a matter of personal preference.

I think a player that plays with more touch would like more vibration to feel what the bat is doing.  A player that hits hard and flatter may like a harder blade with less vibration.

Vibration and control aren't necessarily linked.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
