Body movement during service action

Serving

Hi guys, I just wanted to ask whether you need to keep your body from lifting up during the service action. The reason I ask is because I am finding myself lifting up a bit when I toss the ball up. Should I be trying to hold my body steady in a low position and just concentrate on the arm and wrist movement?

Hi Bevan,

Yes, keeping a lower body position will allow you to get into a ready position more easily for the next ball.  If you lift up then you have to bend down again to get ready which takes more time.
