Hi, I am a newbie to the game of TT and dominantly a defensive chopper. The place where I get to play TT (my org) has only players like me. I find that literally every co-worker is a chopper hence I dont get to change my playing style to attack mode. Usually the rallys are low net level chops. I believe every new TT player ends up as chopper.

Even if me my opponent manage to practice attacking game we end up playing chops during tournaments (I feel its more like a mind set).

Please suggest ways to change my playing style. Also my game is not good when I use faster bats (Mark V rubber)

Hi Amit,

You need to make the commitment to becoming more of an attacking player.  So each time you see a longer ball you need to make a Forehand Topspin Off Backspin.  If you change your mindset you will find it starting to change.  You will need to be accept losing a few games before you get this right.  If you can spend some time training this stroke outside of match times you will see a good benefit.

To do this you will need to use a rubber like Mark V.  In the long run you will find that it is much better for you and you will reach a higher level.
