Hi Petar,

When the ball is up high it is much safer to play a regular smash.  When the ball is in that position you have a 90% chance of winning the point.  The chop smash will only lessen your chances because it is such a risky stroke.

Anyway, how  make that chop smash ? As I must close the angle of my bat to smash down the ball and to chop the ball I must open the angle of my bat

I just want to know as a theory...

I think it means that you hit the ball hard by hitting the back of the ball downward and/or hitting the top of the ball slightly backward. It's like "hammering" the ball :D Am I correct?

Yes a little like hammering the ball.  You are getting sidespin by brushing the side of the ball.

Still confused @@

So you are smashing the ball like a Tennis Smash and slicing down the side of the ball.

hhmm... i think that it's not affective as i can't hit the ball harder and less accuracy...
what about the sidespin smash ? i still confuse on how to make that stroke as when i saw people made the sidespin smash, he just smash the ball normally but the ball have sidespin on it...

You can experiment with the contacts.  Just brush across the ball slightly on contact rather than hitting it completely flat.  This will also be less accurate because of the sidespin.

Whenever my opponent uses a chop smash (one of my friends uses it a lot instead of a flick) the ball doesn't bounce up like it is supposed to but instead skids and doesn't bounce as high as a regular smash. It isn't nearly as fast as a flick but is effective in deception type hitting.

I love the chop smash off a short high ball without much spin.

Off balls with more spin when I don't have time to step around for a proper stroke, I cheat and go over the ball with a topspin tomahawk like action

teach me "how to make a loob"

Is that a Loop or a Lob?

Funny thing that loop and lob have the same basis, being offensive and defensive extension of each other, respectively :D

Alois, sidespin and backspin smashes are usually most effective against same-spin short lobs, correct?
(Because the spin incoming and the non-flat angled stroke will nullify each other)

They just need to be short on the table to make them a bit more viable.

Meaning they are good if someone throws in a chop so high that the ball bounces back above the user's table :P
