Dear Alois Rosario and Jeff Plumb,

I had a question regarding the cleaning of my rubbers... How often do I clean my bat? Can I do it after every session??

Regards,

Hi Vineet,

You should clean your bat after each session.  All you need to do is wipe it with a damp sponge or soft cloth to get the dirt and dust off it.  That will prolong the life of your rubber.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

I heard somewhere that applying water daily can make one's rubber dead.. Is it so?

Hi Vineet,

No it won't.  Just don't leave a lot of water on the bat for a long time.  After you wipe it with the damp cloth, dry it off.
