Strokes

Hello Alois,

today one little girl who saw me play asked me if I can teach her to play.

Although I am extremely weak player,I am still like a worldmaster compared to her,and I think my theoretic knowledge and in her case also my playing abilities are good enough to teach her for a while,so I am a little confused:what should I start with?

I know that we should continue like counterhit+the most basic spinless serve=>Bh chop serve+BH push=>FH loop etc. (or it is incorrect?)

But how should we focus on the current stroke?

what first?

footwork?

hand movement techinque?

or anything else?

Please, you are probably the best coach, please guide me

Hi DK,

Well done on taking on this task.

Go through the stroke we show in the Strokes & Techniques section.  You can work your way down the page.  Take plenty of time with each stroke though.

Stop Coming Back to Ready Position! Do This Instead…

Most players are told to always return to the ready position after every stroke but that might be hurting your game. In this video, we reveal a smarter way to recover:

✔ Track the ball immediately after your shot
✔ Move your racket into position for the next shot instead of blindly resetting
✔ Improve your timing, balance, and flow during rallies

Whether you’re a beginner or advanced player, understanding this subtle change can have a big impact on your consistency and speed around the table.
