Communication between doubles partners

Hello Alois.  Is it ok for the server to show their doubles partner signals under the table before they serve in order to communicate spin and/or direction?  Additionally, if their partner "says ok" right before the serve is that considered a distraction for play or not a problem? Thanks, Walt Rayta.

Hi Walt,

A lot of doubles pairs will signal to each other the serve they are going to do.  If the partner says OK before the point that would also be OK.

The pair isn't allowed to take too long to make the signal because that would be holding up the play but in most cases it takes one or two seconds only.
