Concept of "Vibration"

Hi Pingskills

My question relates to the blade.  Blades are commonly put on a graph with "Speed" on horizontal axis and "Vibration" on vertical axis.  How should I be interpreting the concept of "vibration"?

And as a beginner/intermediate player, how should "vibration" influence my game?  For example, a more experience player said that for beginners, they should choose blades with little vibration because vibration adds another factor to consider, but as a beginner, I wonder if vibration is better because it adds another dimension of "Feel" (assuming I'm correctly interpreting the concept of "vibration")

finally, I noticed that the higher end blades tend to have less vibration.  Do you know why that may be the case?

Thank you for your time

John

Hi John,

I like vibration in the blade because as you said it gives you some feel of the ball.

The faster blades tend to be a stiffer wood with less vibration.

My choice is always a slightly slower blade that has good feel and then get a faster rubber if you want more speed.
