Coping with change of direction

Strategy

Hi Alois and Pingskills

One of my weaknesses is my delay in reaction, for example we are in a topspin to topspin and my opponent change the direction of the ball to my backhand when i am profiling to a forehand. Besides i always adopt the position of the forehand for the next ball, like anticipating, but my opponent change the direction of the ball to my backhand and the point is over...What i can do to better that?  To better my reaction?

Besides i want to improve my footwork even more, can you give me some advice?

Thanks and sorry for the English (if is very bad)

Hi Cristh,

When you are in a rally remember the ball can come anywhere so you need to be open to all options.  You can put yourself into a position for each ball that will best cover the angle form where you have hit the ball to.  But they can hit the ball anywhere so be ready for both sides. If you start to do that you will be more able to make the ball when it comes to your backhand.
