In my club, I was playing a match. My opponent hit a smash and suddenly the electric current passed away when the ball was right above my racket. It came back after some time. We decided to play a let on that point.

Was it right? Or it was my opponent's point?

What would an umpire do in such a situation?

Hi Kaustubh,

Yes that would be a let as it was an interruption.  Good decision.

Doubles Serving Rules

In this video we go over the somewhat complicated rules of serving for doubles in table tennis. There are a couple of extra rules for doubles that you don't apply to singles. In doubles you always serve from the right hand box diagonally to your opponent's right hand box. Each player has 2 serves each. If you've just been receiving then it's your turn to serve next.
