I have been playing for a few mouths and have a x6006 racket. How soon should i look to build a custom paddel?
Hi Tyler,
I would imagine it would last up to a year and then it would be time to change up to a custom racket. Watch that the rubber keeps its grip.

If you really feel your game could not further improve and have proved to yourself that you have the capability to use custom racket (by using other people's) you may proceed. Keep in mind that choosing a suitable equipment might be very difficult with the varieties of equipment nowadays. Learning the basic of custom racket elements such as blade, rubber, and sponge might take time but its a must to prevent mistakes. And may I know what type of player are you?

OK, then stay with the penhold now and focus on your training.

I see, if you want more spin and speed and have proved that you are consistent on your stroke with various adjustment, why not stretch out the margin and buy a custom made paddle. Don't be in a hurry though, choosing the one that suits you might take time and even money. Ask people that play with you for paddle recommendation if they know one.
