Hello sir,

My name is Ulhas. I often get confused between cut serve and backspin serve.

Will you please clarify what is cut serve and how to return it effectively. I know what is backspin and how to return it but cut serve looks similar to backspin and while return the ball goes high. if possible please make video of it.

thank you.

Hi Ulhas,

The Cut serve and Backspin serves are just different terms for the same serve. If the ball is popping up higher, it means they have put less backspin on the ball.  For that serve, you can turn the angle of your bat forward slightly to compensate.
