Hi Pingskills,

I have been playing for several years now but didn’t transition to a custom racket till now.

I am a offensive player in FH and chop and drive in BH. My backhand topspin is not good at all. Still getting a hold on FH top spin accuracy.

I have decided to go for Mark V rubbers on both sides for my new racket beacuse of the learning curve and control.

Just confused about the blades. I have shortlisted 2 blades:

1. DHS power PG7 (7 Play all wood)

2. Galaxy Yinhe T-11+ (5 ply wood, 2 ply carbon)

As a blade is an investment and doesnt need changing unlike rubbers, so thinking of getting one of these faster blades with Mark V.

Help me choose with your suggestions.

Hi Nitin,

Both of those blades are OK.  They will both be quite fast but the Mark V will give you the control.

The other option is the PingSkills Touch which you can get with Mark V already assembled as an option.

Hi Nitin

I am also in a very similar situation as you were. I have exactly the same play style as yours and I am now moving to a custom racket for the first time.

I too have decided for Mark V on FH, and Palio AK-47 on BH.

But I am similarly confused between the same blades i.e. DHS PG7 and Yinhe T-11+. Can you kindly help me decide what blade to use. What blade did you use yourself and how did it turn out for you?

Thanks
