Different rubbers for both sides

I have never had a custom bat and plan to order one of yours, but I notice a lot of players asking questions about bats and being told which bat of yours to get but the real question I have is a lot of us players (especially beginners) tend to have a much better natural forehand or backhand and play them very differently. For example on my backhand I do nothing but defend and do that pretty poorly* but on my forehand im extremely aggressive.

At what skill level should you consider switching up rubbers for backhand/forehand side to play to your strengths and help out your weakness. Should you avoid this as a beginner because you will develop your strokes improperly?

Hi Naor,

At the start it is important that you work on developing both sides.  I don't think you need to have different sides on your rubber for the first couple of years of development.

After that you may find that you will get a faster forehand side and stay with the more controlled rubber on the backhand.

For now I would concentrate on developing strokes on both sides especially on the backhand.

Good luck with it all.
