Hello ,

in a few days i got a tournament. One of the best players , and my first opponent , uses a lot of spin on the ball. What is the best tactic to counter his tactic?

Hi Nick,

The forest thing is to get the ball back on the table from their spin ball.  Use the angle of your bat to return the ball by counteracting the type of spin on the ball. You can also try to make your own topspin shot.  If you brush the ball finely, it will tend to counter their spin.  It all depends on the type and amount of spin they are generating.

Use a long push or a flick to open up the game against someone who is beating you at the short game. It might not be your favourite way to play but if you are losing the short game you need to mix things up. In the long run you certainly need to improve your own short game.
