Equipment
Hey Alios,
How often should you clean your bat and do you need a good bat for Nationals?
Hi Sahil,
You should clean your bat every time you play and even during the session to keep the dust off the bat. While you are playing you will see a layer of dust build up on the surface. When you notice it wipe the rubber down with a damp sponge.
To play at a National event you will need an approved rubber. You will see the ITTF logo on the rubber.
There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
