Thanks for the new lesson on the drop shot. this is a shot i really wanted to learn for a long time from watching the pros on youtube. its not just a block, as you point out in the new lessons there are other things to take into consideration before deciding whether the time is right for the drop shot or just another smash. good defenders are so hard to play against, but recently in my local league i witnessed one of the best players who is a defender get run all over the place because his opponent was very good at drawing him away from the table and then doing a very good short low drop shot causing him to run in to no avail, it had already bounced twice well before he got back to the table. so i just wanted to thank you for doing this lesson as i am sure it will help my game a lot once I've mastered this one.

As a defender the best way to deal with a drop shot is by getting to the ball quickly and playing an effective push.
