Hi Coach,

My daughter is nine (9) years of age. She has been playing with clubs since she was 6. She can rally using forehand drive and backhand push fairly consistently, and is approaching that level with her back hand drive.

I am in the market for a new racket and rubber for her. I was thinking of the Primorac/Viscara Blade with the Sriver Rubber. Is that a decent choice? Do you have any suggestions.

I would be grateful. We are from the West Indies and and have followed your channel for years.

Hi Ravi and Elizabeth,

I think that Sriver sounds like a reasonable option.  The main thing is the rubber and Sriver is a suitable choice for a player of that level.

The Blade sounds like it may be a little fast.  I would go for something closer to All round to allow he rot develop her pushing and other basics.

Choosing a Table Tennis Bat

Make sure you buy a table tennis bat that is suitable for your level and allows you to develop your technique. For your first bat we recommend the PingSkills Rook, and when you upgrade to a custom bat we recommend the PingSkills Touch with Mark V or Rakza 7.
